24/09/10 Colenso Parade – On Forum – Friday 1 October!

Colenso Parade

Colenso Parade

From their early beginnings in Omagh, to the long and winding road which led this band to be named after a street in Belfast, Colenso Parade have been perfecting their infectious brand of hummable indie-pop over a series of acclaimed gigs and releases over the last two years.

Last year’s debut EP, ‘You and Me Against an Old Routine’, received excellent coverage from the Irish media, including reviews in AU Magazine and The Big List. The band also enjoyed significant airplay across Irish radio. Throw in successful appearances at Glasgowbury Festival and an appearance as ‘very special guests’ to Richard Hawley at The Ulster Hall, as well as exclusive radio sessions and videos for Bandwidth Films, and it would be safe to say that 2009 was a very good year for the band.

Colenso Parade’s brand new single, ‘Find Your Mother,’ is set to be the hip new sound that will launch them into the hearts of the nation. Fusing a tight rhythmic bass and drums attack to jangling guitars and harmonies, it manages that difficult trick of sounding instantly familiar, yet utterly fresh.

So make sure to tune in to Forum with George Seth this Friday from 12pm and witness one of the north of Ireland’s hottest local bands, it is truely a show not to be missed!
